We’ve all heard expressions like, “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder”.

Yet sometimes we’ve seen couples and wondered what they see in each other - usually when one or both look “unattractive”. The more developed people among us understand that “there’s a cover for every pot”, and it’s what is inside the “pot” that is most important.

But I still find it common that people have never heard of men being attracted to amputee women.

Yes, to amputee women - women who have lost a leg or arm or other body part.

I am a man who finds a woman with an amputation sexually attractive.

And I know others.  Know that it’s true that there are men who seem to be born with an attraction to women who have lost a limb.

I don’t know psychology and I don’t claim to be an expert.  I don’t understand the attraction myself. I just know it’s real.

I also know that neither I nor anyone else can explain why men are sexually charged by a women’s breasts, or legs, or toes, or ear lobes - or any body part. I don’t think anyone knows the basis of men’s physical attraction to women, and the same applies to the sexual attractiveness of amputee women or her stump.

Why?  Who knows why?  And as long as nobody is harmed - who cares!

I don’t know why and I don’t care why.  It was part of my process to give up being concerned with the “why” or “understanding” the desire. I stopped thinking about it a long time ago. But I do say daily, “Thank you God for this gift of attraction!” It is a special gift which I have chosen to accept and honor in my life.
